Carpaneto, Director of Building CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Wassman at 8:05 PM APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon a motion made and duly seconded the minutes of the October 16, 2003 and November 20, 2003 meetings were unanimously approved. • Chairman Wassman read the applications as follows: WEBSTER BANK/Melron - 1265 Boston Post Road - Block 412, Lot 449-façade DUANE READE/Melron - 1245 Boston Posts Road -Block 412, Lot 449-facade and sign After a brief presentation by Mike Ailes, the representative for Webster Bank, the Board made the following comments: 1. Although Webster Bank and Duane Reade are two separate businesses in two separate buildings they need to be addressed as one application within the same discussion. 2. The Board's unanimous feeling was that the buildings did not relate to one another or "speak"to each other architecturally on the site. 3. A simpler more modern look similar to the Gap and Pier One would be a good example of a starting point for the design. 4. The Board felt the planting plan was adequate but may be subject to some changes when the final building design is approved. 5. The Board felt that the buildings were in appropriate locations and approved the site plan as presented so the applicant could start the engineering process. This motion to be forwarded to the Planning Board. These matters were adjourned to the February 26, 2004 BAR meeting. NEW BUSINESS • No new business at this time.
