BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK
OCTOBER 18, 2005, IN THE SENIOR CENTER, TOWN CENTER

CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Jacobson called the meeting to order at 8:00 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
• Upon a motion made and duly seconded the minutes of September 21, 2005 meeting
were unanimously approved as presented.
Chairman Jacobson read the applications as follows:
LARCHMONT CHRYSLER JEEP - 2533 Boston Post Road
Block 504, Lot 1 - signs (adjourned 8/18/05,9/15/05)
Alfredo Gulla owner and Fred Geremia Architect explained the changes on the new
plan.
They stated that the proposed façade rendering would be similar to other dealerships
across the country. The band across the top of the building will be a dark gray and the
signage colors will be all black including the "DODGE" sign. The signage will be backlit
and not internally illuminated.
The two colors that are shown on the pallet are corporate colors and they will be used
for the project. The light beige color will be used for the main body of the building and
a dark gray for the band across the top.
The spandrel glass will have a light gray tint and be opaque.

After some discussion regarding the new submission the Board had the following
comments:
1) The Board felt that the color choices were acceptable.
2) All the signs shall be made of the same material and be black on the
edges as well as the faces of the letters
3) The signage is to be back lit (halo lit) and not internally illuminated.
4) Graphics should be centered height wise with characters of each sign
as well as centered in its own field.
5) The Dodge sign should be centered over the window as well as
between the roof and the glass.
6) The applicant should submit new drawings to the building department
showing the approved changes.
On a motion made and seconded, the following resolution was ADOPTED:
WHEREAS, Larchmont Chrysler Jeep has submitted an application to the Director of
Building, together with plans for signs and facade; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Building has declined to issue such permit on the grounds
that the review by the Board of Architectural Review is required; and
• WHEREAS, Larchmont Chrysler Jeep submitted an application for approval to the
Board; and
WHEREAS, this Board has examined the plans, inspected the site, reviewed the
application and has heard all persons interested in this application; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the subject application be and the same is GRANTED, subject to the
following conditions:
1) The Board felt that the color choices were acceptable.

No representative from Sleepy's attended the meeting. Item adjourned to November 17th
meeting.

NEW BUSINESS
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the BAR will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was unanimously adjourned.
