SPECIAL STATUTORY MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD
TOWN OF MAMARONECK, NEW YORK
HELD AUGUST 20, 1910
At the Town Offices, 158 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, N. Y.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor McCulloch at
10:20 A. M.
Present: Supervisor McCulloch
Councilmen Bates, Griffin, Mandeville, Meginniss
Absent: None
The presence was also noted of Town Clerk Payne.
The Supervisor stated that the meeting had been called in
accordance with the provisions of Section 66 of the Election Law
for the purpose of designating the place in each election district
in the Town at which the meetings for the registration of voters
and elections and primaries shall be held in the year following
the ensuing first day of October.
The Supervisor asked the Town Clerk if he had received
any requests for any change in the polling places designated last
year.
The Town Clerk stated that Mr . T. Guilford Smith, Republican
Committeeman of the Ninth Election District, had requested that the
polling place for that district be changed from Palmer Avenue to the
Boston Post Road. He reported that he had visited the neighborhood
and did not find a vacant store suitable for this purpose .
He also stated that the committeemen of the Tenth Election
District had requested that the polling place for that district be
located in Eddiels Garage on the Boston Post Road instead of Avenmore
-- Apartments . Mr . Griffin and Mr. ldeginniss recommended the change.
Following discussion it was upon motion by Councilman
Mandeville, seconded by Councilman Bates, unanimously
RESOLVED, that in accordance with the provisions of
Section 66 of the Election Law, being Chapter 17 of
the Consolidated Laws of the State of New York as
amended, the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck
hereby designates the place in each election district
in the Town at which the meetings for the registration
of voters and elections and primaries shall be held in
the year following the ensuing first day of October:
