The Supervisor suggested that a cOP7 Of the above report be i.
sent to Mr. E, Turner, the plant Sunerintendent, to be kept as a record

Councilman Eml=7 reported that he had atforded a meeting
of the Pert Co-mis5ion the evening previous 7, 0 the ±vfter of the chair
sow was discussed. He said that the Part Foreman recommended that the7
rent P chain saw at this time instead of aurchasinS one in view of the
fact that the K tree, which have to to Out down is prob,b17 an extra
ordinary high number. He said that n0rmal!7 the7 would hp7e three or
four treat to out each ~year and if that were to continue to be the
case then it wou?d be more economion! to rent the saw this 7evr rothar
than purchasing one of the h0h prices prevailing. He ad7is& that
the saw could be rented at 8500 per hour and it was estimated it
would take about two hours per treF to out with the saw.

The SUPOMiSOr Stated that he wished to explain the position
he took at the onstitits of the Board of Supervisors with respect to
the fore increase requested by the New York, New Haven & Hartford,,
Railroad Comp=7� He said no applinatiorhn! been made to the
Public Service Commission for fare increases within the State of
New York, but there was an application on file tth the Tntersate
Comnere- Commis-ior for P rate increase in interstate traffic. He
felt that in view of the fact that no one had any Apfinits kno7ledZe
