Aw FNFSen
proximately two by four feet on the corner of the
property located on Fairway Drive and Old White
Plains Road, and stating the reasons for necessi-
tating such a sign.
For the Board's information, the Town Attorney
read the ordinance pertaining to the erection of
signs in residential areas, and after some discus-
sion between Mrs. Lynch, the applicant; who was

Lynch agreed to remove the present sign and to
submit a sketch for a smaller sign, which the

lows Association, the originators of the com-
plaint, with the hope that a solution satisfactory to
both parties concerned could be reached.

RE: NEW PARKING LOTS
The Supervisor explained the situation regarding the new
temporary parking lots at the Larchmont Railroad Station,
reviewing the conference held in Albany with Thruway of-
ficials regarding the surfacing of these areas and advising
that the Town was still awaiting the inspection and decision
of Thruway engineers on this matter. He also pointed out
that these areas were still under the Thruway and not the
Town and inquired what action, if any, the Board wished to
take concerning these areas as the meters were being re-
moved by Thruway construction from the regular parking
areas.
Upon ascertaining from the Chief of Police that sufficient
parking space was being made available during this period
by permitting parking on both sides of Myrtle Boulevard,
Councilmen Santoro and Waterman suggested that the me-
ters be stored for the present and that the Board take no
action at this time.
Mr. Jerome N. Wanshel spoke calling to the Board's atten-
tion the drainage condition on Cabot Road in connection with
Thruway construction and also urging that the Town do all
possible to protect the taxpayers in the matter of parking.
The Supervisor advised Mr. Wanshel that the Town En-
gineer had been working with the Thruway Authority with
regard to the drainage condition on Cabot Road and that the
Town was doing and would continue to do everything pos-
sible in the interest of the taxpayers regarding parking dur-
ing the time of Thruway construction.
No decisions were made and no action was taken at this time.

Councilman Kane stated that upon inquiry he had been in-
formed that some banks in the County were paying 314 on
such time deposits providing they were for a period of six
months, with a proportionally lower rate of interest if the

of $2, 500. 00 which was authorized by resolution of this
Board on December 19, 1956. This bond, the Attorney
stated, was conditioned upon his constructing a road in
front of certain premises for which he desired a Building
Permit and which the Building Inspector had refused to
grant because, in his opinion, the road in front of said
premises was not sufficient to give proper access. It was
further understood at that time that no Certificate of Oc-

Councilman Kane, it was unanimously

spector of the Town of Mamaroneck provided that
the said Albert :Gould deposit with the Town of
Mamaroneck the sum of $2, 500. 00, which sum is
to be held by the Town to insure the improvement
of the street in front of said premises and which
is known as Bruce Road on the subdivision map of
Winged Foot Knolls, filed as Map #9343 in the
County Clerk's Office, which improvement shall
include the installation of pavement, gutters, and
drains in a portion of the street known as Bruce
Road, as shown on said map, extending 260 feet
south from the boundary line between Lots 1 and
2, to be in accordance with the Planning Board
specifications and requirements and provided fur-
ther that such street improvements have been com-
