OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, HELD NOVEMBER 12,
1958, IN THE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE WEAVER STREET
FIREHOUSE, WEAVER STREET, TOWN OF MAMARONECK.
CALL TO ORDER
The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 8:15 p,m.

ALSO PRESENT: Mr, Gronberg - Town Clerk
Mr. Finson - Town Accountant
Mrs, Brewer - Deputy Clerk
1959 PRELIMINARY BUDGET
The Supervisor explained that this meeting had been called
for the purpose of preparing and adopting the Preliminary
Budget for the Town of Mamaroneck for the year 1959, which,
according to law, must be adopted between the 10th and 15th
day of November. He outlined the procedure followed by the
Budget Committee in determining its recommendations for the
proposed budget and stated that the requests of each depart-
ment would be presented for consideration individually. In
the interest of clarity, the Supervisor suggested that any
questions pertaining to a particular department be raised at
the time that department was under discussion.
Upon presentation by the Supervisor, the Board then con-
sidered and discussed the requests of each of the departments
individually and in detail. At the conclusion of this discussion,
Mr. A. C. Viebranz of 126 Garden Road East, Town, and Mr.
John M. .Coughlin of 13 E1kan Road, Town, addressed the
Board from the floor on the matter of compensation requesting
that the Board give further consideration to increasing thepro-
posed compensation for Town employees.
At this time, the Supervisor, noting the presence of Attor-
ney Anthony Sansone and Treasurer-Clerk Armand Gianunzio
of the Village of Mamaroneck, greeted Mr. Sansone and Mr.
Gianunzio welcoming them on behalf of the Board.
After some further detailed discussion, the Board prepared
the following itemized statement of the estimated revenues and
expenditures of the Town for the fiscal year commencing Jan-
uary 1, 1959, which statement is known as the Annual Estimate:

Whereupon, on motion by Councilman Waterman, seconded
by Councilman Brush, it was unanimously
RESOLVED that the foregoing Preliminary
Estimate or Tax Budget of the Town of Ma-
maroneck, as prepared by this Board for
the year 1959, be and it hereby is approved;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED that the said original
_ Estimate or Budget be filed in the Office of
the Town Clerk, where it will be available
for inspection by any interested persons at
all reasonable hours;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Hear-
ing thereon, as required by Section 113 of
the Town Law, be held by and before this
Board on Wednesday, December 3rd, 1958,
at 8:15 p, m. , in the Auditorium of the Wea-
ver Street Firehouse, Weaver Street, Town
of Mamaroneck;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk
be and he hereby is authorized to publish no-
tice of said Public Hearing, as required by
Section 113 of the Town Law, in the official
newspaper of the Town of Mamaroneck, "The
Daily Times, " in its issues of November
22nd and 29th, 1958.
At this time, Councilman Waterman commended the Budget
Committee and the Supervisor thanked the Town Accountant, Mr.
Finson, and the Comptroller, Mr. Orsino, for their able as-
sistance.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before this meeting,
it was declared adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
