Local Law No. 6 - 2015
This local law shall be known as the “Stop Sign on Durham Road where Durham Road
terminates at Fenimore Road” Law.
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck
Section 1 – Purpose:
For safety reasons, the Town Board finds that there should be a stop sign on Durham Road at the
point where that road terminates at Fenimore Road.
Section 2 – Regulation of Traffic on Durham Road:
Vehicles traveling northeasterly on Durham Road shall be required to come to a full stop on
Durham Road at the point where Durham Road terminates at Fenimore Road.
Section 3 – Sign(s) to be Erected and Painting to be Done:
An appropriate sign or signs shall be erected on and/or above, and/or striping shall be painted on
the surface of Durham Road indicating where a full stop is required by this law.
Section 4 – Severability:
Should any provision of this Local Law be declared invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such declaration of unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any
other provisions of this Local Law, which may be implemented without the invalid or
unconstitutional provisions.
Section 5 – Effective Date:
This Local Law shall become effective upon filing with the Secretary of State.
