Minutes of the Special Town Board Meeting
held on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at 9:30am
at the Weaver Street Firehouse
On motion by Councilwoman Katz and second by Deputy Supervisor Eney the
Supervisor called the meeting to order at 9:30am.

The Supervisor indicated the purpose of the meeting was for the Town Board to take
the necessary actions to provide for the pre-payment of Town and County Taxes prior to
December 31, 2017.
There was an explanation of the pre-payment plan devised by the Town and answers
were provided to questions raised by residents in the audience. The Supervisor
indicated that the details of the plan would be posted on the Town of Mamaroneck
Website. In addition an e-mail blast and robocall would be utilized to notify the
community of the pre-payment plan.
There being no further discussion regarding the matter the Town Board took up the
matter of the required resolution to implement the pre-payment plan.
On motion by Deputy Supervisor Eney and second by Councilwoman Katz;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is directed to deliver forthwith to the Receiver of
Taxes a warrant for the collection of the 2018 Town Tax, Town Special District Tax and
Water Arrears, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Receiver of Taxes is authorized to collect the 2018
Town Tax, Town Special District Tax and Water Arrears and the 2018 Judicial and County
Tax upon receipt of such warrant, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Receiver of Taxes is allowed to accept partial
payment of the aforementioned taxes and arrears with respect to any parcel in an amount
no greater than the total amount of the tax levied against that parcel in 2017 for Town
Tax, Town Special District Tax and Water Arrears and for Judicial and County Tax (1) if
such payment is made in person on or before the close of business on December 29,
2017, or (2) if such payment is received by the office of the Receiver of Taxes on or before
December 31, 2017, or (3) if such payment is transmitted by mail or by an overnight
courier but received by the office of the Receiver of Taxes after December 31, 2017,
provided that the envelope in which such payment was transmitted either is postmarked
by the United States Postal Service on or before December 31, 2017, or clearly indicates
that it was given to an overnight courier service on or before December 31, 2017 for next
day delivery to the office of the Receiver of Taxes.
The motion passed unanimously.
There being no further business before the Town Board, on motion by Councilwoman
Katz and seconded by Deputy Supervisor Eney, the meeting was adjourned.
